BLOG POST #2

What is Aperture? An opening that limits the quantity of light that can enter a camera. In this way, a photographer can control depth of field easily and create images with selective focus. Used when you have a distracting or unattractive background that you want to keep out of focus, or just want to have more creative options in your images.

What is shutter speed? Fast shutter speeds are ideal for capturing sharp images of sports and other high action events. Slow shutter speeds can be set to get a blur in images, such as moving water or car taillights at night. Using shutter-priority will allow good exposure for your photos.

How do you shoot in each mode on your camera? Aperture-priority is an automated exposure mode that will allow you to set the aperture. Then camera will then set the appropriate shutter speed based on the amount of light. Shutter-priority is an automated exposure mode that will allow you to set the shutter speed.
